Board Memeber

Kya Grey (she/her) is a transgender woman of color who is passionate about self-advocacy and mental health. She holds a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Pace University and spent her early career in the field as a social worker in non-profit community health organizations. Here she gained experience running substance abuse groups, providing in-home therapy to families involved in the child welfare system, and providing clinical services to individuals involved in the criminal justice system.

Shaped by these experiences, she has developed a focus on working with clients who have experienced repeated traumas, particularly within the context of family or socio-economic systems. She continues to be engaged in mental health work as a therapist where she guides and supports her clients through personal growth, breaking cycles of generational trauma, and self-acceptance. However, the primary focus of her energy is being a parent to two young, intelligent, adorable, kind-hearted, and wonderful children.
